I hail from the heart of southern New Jersey, a once-sleepy and dry town named Mullica Hill (exit 2 for my Jersey fam!), just a stone’s throw from Philly. Picture me—raised on a family farm, where I rode horses galore and immersed myself in the world of Hunter Jumpers, Equitation, and Show Jumping. Warmbloods, miniatures, and thoroughbreds stole my heart, alongside a serious stint in the 4H horse and equine science scene.

Before my Idaho adventure, I was all set to jet off to Japan and dive headfirst into teaching English through the JET program (you know, back in the days before COVID and geopolitical drama took center stage). My love affair with Japan began in 2018 during a blissful three-month stint in Gotemba-Shizuoka—those were the days! The culture, the people, the whole vibe—total game-changer. Back on home turf, I juggled English, Teaching, and International Studies at Rowan University, where I also strutted my stuff with the Intercollegiate Horse Shows Association. Fast forward to 2022: armed with a Master's degree, I'm now living the dream as a full-time high school English guru. Yearbooks? Yep, I’m the maestro behind those. And let’s not forget my latest brainchild—a spine-chilling Horror Literature course unveiled in 2024. What’s next, you ask? Oh, just a casual pursuit of a Doctorate degree, because why stop now?

But teaching’s just one facet! I moonlight as a historical reenactor and Renaissance faire enthusiast, dabble in modeling, and wield a camera with an eye for documenting love stories. I have been published as a model in an online magazine, and was honored to compete as Miss New Jersey Petite 2020 on the national stage.

Beyond the lens, I’m a wanderer at heart, with Japan and Aruba ranking high on my hit list. Before moving to Idaho, my career plan was to move abroad to Japan and teach English as a Foreign Language for the JET program (pre-COVID and Russia/North Korea conflicts). I did spend 3 months in Gotemba-Shizuoka, Japan in 2018 and absolutely fell in love with the country, the people, and their culture. Cruise ships are my second home, and let’s just say I’ve logged some serious air miles—from flying high in WWII cockpits to zipping across the skies on 747s and A380s (I even once survived a windowless 13-hour flight! Never again.). My father was a recreational pilot for a long while, and I was in the air flying with him from a very young age.

Oh, and did I mention Wandering Muse? It started as a pandemic project, selling exotic plant cuttings before blossoming into a haven for vintage decor aficionados. After ironing out my photography set-up and fine tuning my own personal style, I began my Instagram account, and by late 2021, I began to curate my current style which is a unique but cohesive fusion of neutral mid century modern, primitive, brutalist, bohemian, and minimalist. I’ve even branched into vintage threads and jewelry (especially earrings, if you have not yet beheld my famous earring display) since hauling my stash cross-country. Wandering Muse has now put in appearances at various markets in the Boise area including No New Vintage, The Boise Flea, the Meridian Night Market, Maker's Hive Market, Idaho Artisan's Market, Vintage Market Days, and more!

The name "Wandering Muse" encapsulates my journey through diverse passions and experiences that have shaped who I am today. From my roots in southern New Jersey, where I immersed myself in the equestrian world and cultivated a love for teaching, to my enchantment with Japan during my time in Gotemba-Shizuoka, each chapter has added a unique hue to my creative palette. "Wandering" reflects my perpetual curiosity and love for travel, from cruising the seas to exploring new cultures. Meanwhile, "Muse" symbolizes my role as both an educator and an artist—a muse to those I teach and a muse in my pursuit of photography and vintage decor curation. This blend of exploration and inspiration is at the core of Wandering Muse, a venture born from resilience and passion during the challenges of the pandemic, evolving into a space where creativity flourishes and connections are forged.

So, whether I’m molding young minds, capturing timeless moments, or hunting down the perfect vintage find, life’s an exhilarating whirlwind—and I’m just getting started!
